BSOD -> BSOD -> ... -> BSOD

I know. It is my fault. I should have learned to not trying anything new from M$. I just tried Office 2007 and, surprisingly, liked it. I thought they have better software now. Big mistake.

I upgraded my machines to XP SP3 the day it released. While it worked on my laptop, my desktop fell into an infinite loop of blue screens, with the only hint as "STOP: 0x0000007E".

The solution, apparently, is to boot in safe mode and set the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Intelppm" to 4.

Of course. What was I thinking? How could I not thought of that?

Who said Linux is hard to set up and configure?
