Moving Plan
No, I'm not moving yet. But the boredom of a long break made me do a lot of things to kill the time. So I was imagining how I'm going to move to Bay Area if I'm to accept the offer from the nonevil company.
While I don't have a lot of stuff that I have to move, I would still like to keep my clothing, electronics, and cookware, just because it'd be cheaper than to rebuy everything. The nonevil company doesn't give me an option for moving for me, so I'd rather pocket the relocation allowance.
Probably the best way to move is to rent a truck, so I checked the price. This is what I found.

Probably the best way to move is to rent a truck, so I checked the price. This is what I found.
- It costs $297 to rent a 10' truck (380 cubic sq feet) one-way to Mountain View, but only $11 more for a 16' truck (800 cubic sq feet). But I don't want to drive a 16' truck for 2-3 days.
- It costs $1,856 for the opposite direction. I thought it was going to be the opposite (more expensive moving from California) because more people would move to there for a while for college or something and come back later, with a lot of stuff they want to put in a truck.
- On the other hand, if I'm moving to New York instead, I won't have this great price: it would be more than a grand.
