twngan 2 HR 0
Dealing with HR people sometimes is a pain. Particularly when they try to play mind games with you, or at least think that they're playing with you. Here are some highlights.
- Don't say that money is not your top priority. They take it as a hint to mark down your salary and a waive of your right to complain about how stingy they are.
- If you really complain hard, they'll claim that matching your other offers is "outside your region." But if you insist, they'll be a bit open for you to name your price.
- If you tell them their work is cool, they'll take that as an advantage and play down other companies as "their work is not as cool as ours."
- Never believe a word from them. They would claim that it is impossible for them to wait a bit for the result of your other interviews, but if you decline their offer, all of a sudden they'll decide that they can wait.
- My HR is at least honest. She literally told me that I'm "hard to read." Am I taken as a stupid code monkey?
